BIM Software That Keeps Every Discipline on One Model
BIM isn't tied to a single platform. Which Autodesk software carries the model depends on the discipline: Revit for architecture and building systems, Civil 3D for infrastructure and civil engineering, and AutoCAD Plant 3D for plant engineering. Each produces a model built for its own discipline, all coordinated through the same data-management layer.
Autodesk Forma provides that shared layer: a common environment where teams across disciplines upload, coordinate and review models, run clash detection, and track issues through to resolution — so a Revit model, a Civil 3D model and a Plant 3D model can be checked against each other instead of living in separate silos.
