Revit Plugin for BIM-Compliant MEP Design
ProjectBox is a Revit plugin for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design. It's an add-on for Autodesk Revit that provides predefined component families, automated modeling tools, parts lists, annotations, and a fixed project structure — used across all phases of MEP design, so teams model using one consistent method instead of building their own families and workflows from scratch on every project.

Dedicated tools for every MEP discipline
ProjectBox content and parts lists are built around the standards that apply in your market for example DIN in Germany and Austria, or NEN in the Netherlands. Component families and calculation keys can be configured to match your project's location.
Automated radiator placement — Radiator and underfloor heating families can be placed manually or distributed and connected automatically via the app.
Faster steel pipe routing — Routing tools with switchable connector families speed up modeling of welded or flanged steel pipe runs.
Direct control over heat load results — Associative room schedules let you compare calculated heat loads with the radiators actually placed in the model.
Clash and function zones — Fittings include activatable clash bodies for collision checks at every project phase.Correct drainage pipe modeling — Pipe runs can be modeled with proper slope and lengths, including double bends at 90° angles.
Pre-wall installation support — Dedicated connector families link pipe runs to plumbing fixtures, with performance values (e.g. drainage unit values) built in.
Automatic connection reuse — Once one plumbing object is connected to a pipe system, the same connection setup can be applied to similar objects automatically.
Parts lists with pipe lengths — Optional quantity take-offs including measured fitting and valve lengths.
Dedicated cooling families — Convectors, chillers, floor ducts, and pipe systems modeled with purpose-built families.
Automatic system data transfer — General fittings used across disciplines automatically inherit pipe system information for use in labels, parts lists, and views.
Combined view templates — Cooling and heating components can be displayed together in one view or parts list where systems overlap.Standards-based parts lists — Modeled components are evaluated in parts lists via built-in fitting families.
Automatic connection function — Existing connection setups apply automatically to other outlets, e.g. from outlet to main duct.

Schema Manager — Create, update, and manage BIM-compliant, associative schematics linked to 3D objects.
Automatic model replication — Families placed on one base component (e.g. a door) can be copied automatically onto similar components.
Cable tray families — Tray objects align to walls automatically; hangers adjust their width to match the tray cross-section and can be distributed at set intervals.Early sprinkler estimation — Based on room occupancy in the model, ProjectBox calculates an approximate sprinkler count per room.
Wet and dry sprinkler families — Place individually or as a row-based distribution, connected via branch, tee, or flexible pipe per current standards.
Spray radius display — Optional display of a sprinkler's spray radius in floor plan view, including in sloped pipe runs.
Color-coding by activation temperature — Placed sprinklers are shown by color according to their activation temperature.
Associative 2D schematics — Generate linked 2D MEP schematics for heating, plumbing, ventilation, cooling, electrical, gas, sprinkler, and low-voltage systems directly from 3D model data.
Freely configurable mapping — The Schema Settings Editor lets you define rules and mappings between 3D and 2D families, and choose which 3D parameters transfer associatively to the schematic object.
Detailed fitting data — Switchable counter-flanges at fitting inlets and outlets, with gasket type, bolt type, and bolt count managed in the model.
Large-diameter pipe routing — Welded or flanged steel pipe routings up to DN1200, with multiple bend radii (1D and greater).
Comprehensive parts lists — Quantity take-offs cover pipe fittings, pipes, and valves, including flanges, gaskets, bolts, and bolt lengths.
Parametric structural modeling — Structures and piping for technical infrastructure buildings modeled parametrically.
