Vault

Product data management for engineering teams

Autodesk Vault is product data management software that helps you manage users, data, and processes more effectively. Organize your engineering data from one secure, central location, reduce time-consuming administrative work, and improve collaboration across design teams. Vault also integrates with Autodesk products including Inventor, AutoCAD, and Revit, and can connect with Microsoft Office and business systems such as ERP.

Secure data management

Autodesk Vault keeps the intellectual property of designs and products safely stored in the system. Ideas and engineering knowledge are captured and can be reused in future work.

Better collaboration in projects

Users can see what others are working on and collaborate across locations, including through VPN connections. Depending on the version, people outside the design team can also be given access to design data.

Time-saving workflows

Save time by reusing parts and designs in new projects. Vault also tracks changes, revisions, and version control automatically during day-to-day work.

Always tailored to your situation

Autodesk Vault is available in different versions. Here is a short overview of the differences between Vault Basic, Vault Professional, and Vault Office.

Vault Basic

Vault Basic is the standard version included with the Autodesk PD&M Collection. It helps you manage data and maintain structure across your digital design information.

Vault Professional

Vault Professional includes everything in the Basic version plus more advanced document management capabilities. It adds revision control, permissions management, document lifecycles, Revit and ERP integration, task automation, revision checks, and bill of materials management.

Vault Office

Vault Office is an extension for Vault Professional. It gives non-CAD users fast access to design data and lets them add non-CAD files to Vault through Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
