PlantExpressTools is a collection of CAD functions together with project administration functions. It extends daily work in AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD P&ID with tools that help teams configure projects faster, reduce manual effort, and avoid errors.

PlantExpressTools is a collection of CAD functions together with project administration functions. It extends daily work in AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD P&ID with tools that help teams configure projects faster, reduce manual effort, and avoid errors.
Assemblies allow you to create logical groups for your P&ID Symbols and Lines and use Acquisition Rules between the P&ID objects and the Assembly.
Allows you to copy or rename projects including all files within your project.
You can export your P&ID classes, properties and symbols, modify them, for example with Excel, and import them back. You can also create new classes, properties and symbols when importing.
Exports P&ID and 3D drawing as standard AutoCAD DWGs with standard AutoCAD objects, such as solids. This function will also purge the drawing and considers XREFs.
Checks and updates your Tags and Acquisitions in case of changes in project setup.
Provides a new experience to insert your symbols and lines by showing only the symbols and lines you have in your current project. It also removes the need to worry about exporting and importing tool palettes.
In addition to the properties which make the tag, you can add more properties that you may want to fill out while assigning the tag.

PlantProjectManager is a replacement for the Plant 3D Project Manager. It adds features such as versions and revisions and serves as the central place for using other PlantTools functions.
The Change Log function records changes made to the properties of your P&ID objects, including symbols and lines. The history can be viewed, searched, filtered, and restored.
With rule-based block or assembly insertion, predefined blocks or assemblies can be inserted automatically based on user-defined rules. This is useful when drawings are built from standard assemblies and only smaller changes remain.
Clash Detection has an easy, intuitive user interface from which users can check, analyze, detect, and resolve clashes without leaving AutoCAD Plant 3D.
The In-Place Edit function allows you to modify your P&ID Assemblies directly within the drawing without opening the AutoCAD Block Editor. This keeps the surrounding context visible and improves editing accuracy.
PlantBatch is a desktop application used to execute other applications, such as Plant 3D or PlantReporter, as batch processes. It can run AutoCAD scripts for multiple drawings or create batches of reports.
Calculates X, Y, and optionally Z values of P&ID objects for your drawing frame grid.
You can export all your selection lists from P&ID and 3D, modify them, for example with Excel, and import them back. This speeds up your project setup significantly.
Checks and updates the annotation of your line segments in P&ID in case line annotations are no longer linked to their line segments.
Generates lists in your P&ID drawing, for example equipment lists inside the drawing.
You can create simple concatenations or complex mathematical formulas for your Plant 3D properties. It can be compared to Microsoft Excel formulas and can also calculate color, layer, or hyperlink values.
Updates From/To information in line with project data changes.
With this function, selection lists are updated automatically with data from an external source such as a database or an Excel file.
With the properties palette you can define your own tabs, groups, and properties and control the order in which those properties appear.
Bolt Calculation replaces the BoltSets of AutoCAD Plant 3D completely and comes with its own expandable bolt catalog. PlantExpressTools supports BoltSets as well as the use of single bolt parts.
With PlantProjectCreate you can create projects and drawings from within other applications. It can also set project and drawing properties, which is useful for companies that want to streamline project creation.
The Off-Page Connector Manager provides an overview of all your off-page connectors. In its graphical interface, you can search, filter, connect, and disconnect without opening any drawing.
The Copy & Paste function enables users to duplicate values from one line or symbol and apply them to multiple other lines or symbols, even across different drawings. This feature streamlines data entry, ensures consistency, and improves efficiency when working with repetitive elements in a project.
The Renumbering function allows you to renumber properties of your symbols. This is often used when tags need to be renumbered.
This Tag Conflict Checker palette is a live view of any tag conflicts, including duplicate tags. It considers Plant 3D tags as well as additional tags created with Assign Tag. The palette is also available in PlantDataManager.
